So, I arrived back in the US just short of a month ago after departing from Chennai. I've been living in Michigan, working at a deli, walking a bunch, and catching sunsets over the lake. I love it up there. Soon however, I've got to return to elmhurst, pack up my stuff, then it's back to Wisconsin!....
I had an incredible time traveling India! Lolly and I started in Rajastan, went up to Manali, then on to Haridwar and then through Nepal. Highlights include taking turns driving an autorikshaw up a mountain in Udiapur after investing in a "special lassi", getting lost in a sea of clouds and following a yak-cow in hopes of finding civilization while in the Himalayan mountains near the Tibetan border, and a rakshi (nepali rice alcohol) filled wedding in a small nepali village that we heard a jaguar outside of. Really, i couldn't have asked for a better time.
Also of interest, I ran into Mac, Vika, Carly, Jamie, and Brittney, during my travels - all of whom seemed in relatively good spirits. Other than Vika, I think Brittney was the longest lasting on the Indian subcontinent - this is quite impressive as she traveled solo!
Anyways, I miss you guys! - If everybody could put down contact information that would be really helpful. I'm planning a US tour and it'd be great to meet up if I come to anybody's hometown. Hopefully, we'll meet again in the not so distant future.
From Elmhurst Illinois,
-Matt
