So I had these fun plans to go all over India, but we all know what life likes to do when we make plans! It laughs! Carly, Vika, Matt and I were in Hampi when I got word from my family that my Grandpa, who has had cancer for a while now, was rapidly getting worse after they stopped chemo about a month ago. I'm really close with him so I booked a ticket home right away. I'm so happy I did because I got to spend time and talk with him for a couple days. I sang him Jaya Ganesha in my most ridiculous voice and I'm pretty sure that for a while he was scared that I turned into an elephant worshipper in India teeheehee. He's still hanging on now, but he's unresponsive. Pretty much I've just been with him, my grandma, and my family since I got home. It's been hard but we are supporting each other and dealing with it ok. It's just part of life. We are just trying to make him as comfortable as possible and ease his passage to the next world in any way we can.
Being with Grandpa occupies most of my time but I did start looking around for a job a little. Haven't had any luck yet, but hopefully I will when I'm able to focus more energy on that. I've also had some long talks with my family about education and such and they are really encouraging me to finish college now. I've been looking into schools here, especially Naropa college. It seems pretty awesome and even has learning/living communities and geodesic grow domes!
Well I miss you all a lot and I hope that your adventures are wonderful, no matter where in the world everyone is!
Much Love!!!
Jamie
